Rev. Dr. Alan Trafford
Alan Trafford came to Lake Jackson with his family in 1998, following pastorates in England and Pennsylvania. Born in Blackburn, England, Alan attended Birmingham University, where he took combined honors in philosophy and archaeology. His ministerial training was at Westminster College, Cambridge; his Doctor of Ministry degree was awarded by Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in 2003. Alan has been involved in renewal ministries for many years, serving on national bodies in both the U.K. and the U.S. He transfered to the Evanglical Presbyterian Church in 2012.
Alan's wife, Lesley, also a native of the United Kingdom, is the owner and operator of "The English Florist," which specializes in wedding design. To date, she has done over 600 weddings. Alan and Lesley have two grown sons: Dan, an architect in Dallas; and Nathan, a graphic designer who lives in Austin.
